Everyone loves brunch! Who doesn't? Not only is brunch a great excuse to dress nicely for a day out on the town with close friends, it also gives a pass to eat Chicken and Waffles, Eggs Benedict, and drink Mimosas past noon.

If you're from the D.C., Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) area, you have to try "Milk & Honey," a Black-owned restaurant with locations in both Bowie and College Park, Maryland. With so many delicious options on the menu, it makes choosing your brunch platter difficult, yet worth it; whatever you choose, you will be pleased.

Pros

  1. Nothing you choose on the menu will disappoint.

  2. Seasoned to perfection and visually appealing, your dish will ensure you enjoy Every. Single. Bite.

  3. Affordable prices! The cheapest item on the menu is $3 and the most costly being $21 (unless you want a pitcher of their finest Mimosa, that'll cost you $25).

  4. Quality customer service. The waiters and host's are very personable and friendly.

  5. Clean and welcoming environment.

  6. Fast service. After ordering your food, in no more than 15 minutes, you'll be diving into your favorite Milk & Honey dish.

Trust us, your taste buds will thank you!

Cons

  1. Wait times over 80 minutes. (Don't worry, when you check-in for the first time, you get a free Mimosa at your next visit!)

  2. Limited parking.

  3. Limited interior seating and table space.

This past weekend, Deja had the pleasure of visiting Milk & Honey, where she ordered the "Jumbo Smothered Chicken and Biscuits," which was two biscuits topped with egg and a perfectly seasoned fried chicken breast smothered in a Cajun dressing, along with their "Cheesy Hash," which was hash-browns topped with cheese. Both dishes were large in portion, leaving her with enough to take home and enjoy the next morning.

All-in-all, Milk & Honey is a great Black-owned restaurant that needs more exposure, one that your taste buds will be thanking you for later. Well-worth the wait, Milk & Honey is a great brunch spot for the whole family.
